Hard labour at work and go to the gym daily.

Go over the car to ensure everything is ok to go racing. No superstitions.

Does car racing run in the family?


Yes, Dad raced ski boats around the world and also raced speedway. So I guess I got the racing bug from him.

How did you get into motor sports?


Dad was racing speedway saloon cars, I started racing speedway at the age of 9 in saloon cars, then moved to sprint cars then road racing.

Racing for us is a family and friend affair. My wife Lisa, mum, dad and sister try to make it to every round for support and the crew are all friends. Lisa and Mum keep the crew well fed between them!

Are any of your friends and/or family involved in the sport? If so, explain how.


My dad is my team manager, the crew is made up of friends and family. Wayne Lamont (ute 16) is my team mate who we have know for years.

Who taught you to drive? Describe the experience.


My cousin Conan taught me to drive in a yellow 4x4 Hilux - 2 days before I was to have my first speedway race!
